Here's what they're looking for:

A leading technical consulting firm seeks a remote Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) based in Baltimore, DC, or Alexandria, VA to evaluate and control occupational, public, and environmental hazards across commercial, residential, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigations: Conduct evaluations of indoor air quality, noise, mold, asbestos, soot tracing, and moisture mapping using specialized sampling equipment.
  • Client Engagement: Manage project scope, budgets, and client relations; prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Expert Testimony: Provide expert witness testimony in depositions and trial proceedings when required.
  • Travel: Perform local travel with occasional nationwide overnight travel.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current CIH certification required.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Science/Engineering + 5–10 years of industrial hygiene or environmental health experience.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of federal/state OSHA regulations; building science background preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and wear a tight-fitting respirator.
